What is Sink Re Enamelling & How Does it Work?
Sink restoration is the process of taking a sink and prepping the surface to be recoated and re enamelled.
The sink re enamelling process takes a day. 6-8 hours to fully restore the surface and make it like new again.
We spray on the enamel coating which gives the best possible finish. We don’t use brushes or cups to pour it on.

Sink Re Enamelling VS Replacement?
It’s actually easier to re enamel the sink on-site, where it is than to replace it.
Replacing the sink can end up costing more due to having to pay for a plumber, maybe destroying the surrounding tiles and having to get that fixed.
It’s also contributing to a greener environment by repairing the shower tray you have instead of buying a completely new one.
How Long Does The Job Take?
Sink re enamelling is done at your home and it usually takes 4-6 hours to complete the full sink repair and sink re-enamelling procedure.
When Can I Use The Sink After Its Re Enamelled?
You can use the sink after 24 hours from completion of the job by our technician.
Has The Sink Been Worked On Before?
If the sink tray has been worked on before and was re-enamelled previously then it may show up that the sink enamel is flaking, cracking, peeling away from the original surface.
In this case we have to undo the work of the previous job before we can actually respray the sink.
Only then do we respray the shower tray.s
How Long Will The Sink Tray Last?
The sink should last years, sometimes up to 10 years or more depending on the use of it. We have done sinks years later to bring it fully back to life again so it’s smooth and shiny.
A sink like anything will wear and tear over time. You can’t expect it to look perfect after 10 years.
Is The Bathroom Protected?
Yes we cover the floor with dust sheets so it’s protected. We mask all around the shower tray so there is no over-spray.
We have an extractor that blows out any dust and enamel spray that is in the bathroom. We clean up as best we can after the job but it can get a bit dusty and it’s hard to catch everything working in a small space.
You may have to rinse the shower tray before using it just to get off any residue dust.
What Materials Do We Use For The Job?
We have tested and tried all the different enamel products and materials out there and we have found the best ones for the bath, shower and sink resurfacing job.
They are not the cheapest materials on the market but they are the best and that’s why we use them. The enamel we use is long lasting and durable. It has a deep shine to it.
