Shower Tray Resurfacing Cost
The cost to re enamel a shower tray is about £325-465 depending on the damage and repair needed on the shower tray.
VAT will be added to all prices.
If the shower tray or bath has been worked on before by another company then it may need to be stripped back to the original surface before we re enamel the shower tray ourselves.
In many cases the adhesion and bonding agents used to stick the white enamel surface on wasn’t strong enough and the bath or shower tray begins to flake and crack at a later date.
If the shower tray needs to be stripped first there is an additional cost of £75.
Shower Tray Resurfacing Warranty
Milton’s provide a 5 Year Warranty on all shower tray, bath and sink re enamelling that covers flaking, cracking or peeling of the new enamel coating we spray on.
The 5 Year Guarantee does not cover new chips, scratches, limescale, discolouration, if due to hair dyes or bath bombs, etc.
It covers our spray finish and it’s durability and it not flaking or cracking.

How long does the Shower Tray Re Enamelling Last?
Once the bath or shower tray has been re enamelled it can last up to 10 – 20 years.
A bath, shower or sink will wear over time and may become dull again due to consistent use of general spray cleaners.
The shower tray will usually last many years 10-20 years if cleaned and maintained.
We use a durable and long lasting enamel coating with our shower tray re enamelling procedure.
We use TWO bonding agents to ensure our new enamel coating doesn’t flake or crack over time.
What materials do we we use for the shower tray re enamelling & resurfacing?
We use the very best materials on the market. We have tested many different types of bonding agents and enamel paints over the years and we have decided on the best ones in our opinion.
These are not the cheapest materials but they are best materials for the job and give the best finish we could ask for.
With bath refinishing and restoration we only apply a spray finish which we consider to be the best finish out there.
So we use the best materials and delivery the best spray finish.
Other companies use cups to pour it on or use paint brushes to put the enamel on.
We have found that this doesn’t give the best results or finish.
A spray finish if you do enough coats is strong and durable! We use about 3-4 coats of enamel on your bathtub, shower tray or sink.
Because we use high quality materials it gives the bath a longer life span.
It is easy to clean and a maintain.
What areas do we cover?
We travel all over London, Hertfordshire, Essex, Bedfordshire & Buckinghamshire, Cambridge, Oxford, Gloucestershire, Kent, Sussex, Surrey, Birmingham
Should I replace the shower tray or bath or get it re enamelled?
I would advise you to have the shower tray or bath re enamelled and resurfaced.
This saves your having to replace the bath and run the risk of damaging the tiles and the bathroom removing the bathtub.
You don’t need to get a plumber in to install the new bathtub and remove the old one.
All the work is done in a day. We re enamel the bath in a day and you can use the bath the following day.
If the bath enamel has become chalky then it may be too far gone to re enamel. In the event it is too far gone then you will have to get a new bathtub.
I would recommend getting a cast iron bath or a steel bath.
I wouldn’t recommend getting an acrylic or plastic bath as they are just not as strong.
The acrylic bathtubs and shower trays chip and scratch quite easily and need repaired a lot.
Acrylic shower trays and baths also have a tendency to crack.
Cast iron and steel baths don’t usually crack are a lot harder to chip and scratch that acrylic baths.
