How much does acrylic bath resurfacing & enamelling cost?
The cost of the acrylic bath resurfacing is about 375-495 depending on the type of bath and the damage to the bathtub or shower tray.
If the bath has been worked on before by another company then it may need to be stripped back to the original surface.
Sometimes when the bath was resurfaced originally it wasn’t done properly and the surface is now flaking and cracking.
That means we may have to undo the previous job before we can start on the bathtub.
In many cases the adhesion and bonding agents used to stick the white enamel surface on wasn’t strong enough and the bath begins to flake and crack at a later date.
If the bath needs to be stripped first there is an additional cost of £75.
We are experts in acrylic bath re enamelling, bath enamel repair, shower tray repair and ceramic sink repairs.

How long does the acrylic bath resurfacing last?
Once the bath acrylic or plastic bath is re enamelled it will usually last up to 10 years or more.
The bath will last as long as the bathtub in most cases. Overtime the bath can become worn again and may become dull and a bit rough overtime.
This is normal wear and tear due to consistent use of the bathtub or shower tray.
We use a very long lasting and durable enamel coating with bath resurfacing and re enamelling procedure.
We also use TWO bonding methods. One wiped on and another sprayed on. These two bonding methods firmly stick and hold our new enamel surface on.
With our bath restoration process the bath should last years.
We use the very best materials on the market. We have tested many different types of bonding agents and enamel paints over the years and we have decided on the best ones in our opinion.
These are not the cheapest materials but they are best materials for the job and give the best finish we could ask for.
With bath refinishing and restoration we only apply a spray finish which we consider to be the best finish out there.
So we use the best materials and delivery the best spray finish.
Other companies use cups to pour it on or use paint brushes to put the enamel on.
We have found that this doesn’t give the best results or finish.
A spray finish if you do enough coats is strong and durable! We use about 3-4 coats of enamel on your bathtub, shower tray or sink.
Because we use high quality materials it gives the bath a longer life span.
It is easy to clean and a maintain.
Yes we do a 1 year warranty that covers flaking or cracking of the new enamel surface we spray on.
A 1 year guarantee doesn’t cover new chips, scratches, limescale, colour change if due to hair dyes or bath bombs etc.
It covers our spray finish and it’s durability and not flaming or cracking.
Please read our warranty page for more clarification.
We travel all over London, Hertfordshire and Essex.
I would advise to get the acrylic bath re enamelled where the bath is right now.
This saves you having to replace the bath and run the risk of damaging the tiles and the bathroom removing the bathtub.
You don’t need to get a plumber in to install the new bathtub and remove the old one.
All the work is done in a day. We re enamel the bath in a day and you can use the bath the following day.
If the bath enamel has become chalky then it may be too far gone to re enamel. In the event it is too far gone then you will have to get a new bathtub.
I would recommend getting a cast iron bath or a steel bath.
I wouldn’t recommend getting an acrylic or plastic bath as they are just not as strong.
The acrylic bathtubs and shower trays chip and scratch quite easily and need repaired a lot.
Acrylic shower trays and baths also have a tendency to crack.
Cast iron and steel baths don’t usually crack are a lot harder to chip and scratch that acrylic baths.

Why Choose Acrylic Bath Resurfacing?
Extend the Life of Your Bath Without Replacement
Unlike cast iron or steel, acrylic baths can become dull or develop surface imperfections relatively quickly. Acrylic resurfacing in Greater London eliminates visible blemishes while reinforcing the bath’s protective coating. This process allows homeowners to retain the original fixture while benefiting from a refreshed, modern finish.
Whether your tub is chipped, scratched, cracked, or simply worn from age and cleaning products, resurfacing offers an eco-friendly and budget-conscious solution. This is especially valuable for landlords, homeowners, and hotels throughout North London, South London, and surrounding regions looking to upgrade without undergoing major renovations.
What Is Acrylic Bath Re-Enamelling?
Bath re-enamelling for acrylic baths involves professionally restoring the surface of the tub using advanced materials and spray equipment. It’s a technical process that requires the surface to be thoroughly prepared, primed, filled (if needed), and finished with a specially formulated coating.
Unlike traditional enamelling used for cast iron or metal tubs, acrylic re-enamelling involves coating with modern polymer resins that bond securely to plastic surfaces, resulting in a high-gloss, durable finish. The outcome is visually indistinguishable from a new bath.
Benefits of Acrylic Bath Resurfacing in London
- Cost Savings: Re-enamelling is a fraction of the cost of full bath replacement. No need for additional plumbing, tiling, or waste removal.
- Fast Turnaround: Most resurfacing jobs are completed within a single day, and the bath is ready to use after a 24-hour curing period.
