Shower Tray Crack Repair Cost?
The cost to do a crack repair on a shower tray, bath or sink is usually about £225-295 depending on the severity of the crack and whether or not it is actually leaking below.
A cracked shower tray can be repaired within 2-3 hours. We colour match the surface so you can no longer see the damage. The surface will be smooth and shiny like a new shower tray.
What can cause the shower tray crack?
A cracked shower tray is usually caused by something hard falling in the shower, bath or sink and fracturing the surface and thus creating a crack.
Other cracks can be caused by an uneven floor below the shower tray or bath.
Sometimes when the shower was put in the floor where it was placed wasn’t completely even and this can cause a crack to appear over time.
Crack repairs usually show up on acrylic shower trays and baths. This is because they are not as strong as cast iron or steel shower trays as they used to manufacture more of.

Cracked Shower Tray Warranty
We don’t offer a guarantee on cracked shower trays, baths or wash basins due to the fact that it is structural damage of the actual unit.
We do have a proven technology to handle a crack but in some cases the shower tray crack is just too far gone to handle.
Therefore it’s the only service we offer where you don’t get a guarantee.
If there is an uneven floor or if below the shower tray it’s on uneven ground we can’t actually completely fix it as we would have to rip out the shower tray.
In that case you may as well get a new shower tray.
What areas do we cover?
We cover all over London, Hertfordshire and the Essex area.
We can usually book jobs in that same week or the following week depending on how many technicians we have on the road.
Should I Just Replace the Cracked Shower Tray?
I think it may be best to try and repair the crack first before getting a whole new shower.
Usually when replacing the shower tray or bath you can ruin the tiles that are in and the wall it’s connected to which can be a pain.
In some cases the crack repair can’t be handled and you will have to get a new shower tray.
We ask for pictures of the cracks before we do the job to see whether it can be repaired or not so it’s worth giving us a call or emailing us to find out.

Plastic Shower Tray Repairs
Acrylic and plastic shower trays do not have the best build quality these days. They are not made as strong as they used to. Sadly this is the main reason that cracks appear in the shower trays.
We can fully restore the shower tray crack so it will no longer leak and be visible.
Caravan Shower Tray Repair
Caravan shower tray repairs are worth fixing rather than replacing as it can be a real pain getting a completely new one.
A caravan cracked shower tray can be fully repaired and re enamelled so you can no longer see the original damage.
Shower Tray Repair Kit
We have used and tested a lot of the bath repair kits and shower tray repair kits and they are not that useful. For one they only have 1 colour which is usually Brilliant White.
There is no colour matching done so even if the repair is partially fixed you will still be able to clearly see the damage.
If you wish you could buy a kit from amazon and try it and then if it does not work out you can give us a call.
Do not use the shower tray repair kit to handle and fix a crack as you will need stronger materials than just a standard body filler which is what the kit comes with.

Post Shower Tray Repair Care Tips
Once your shower tray has been professionally repaired, proper care is essential to maintain its functionality and appearance for years to come. Here are some important post-repair care tips:
Wait 24-48 Hours Before Use
After the repair, it’s important to allow the material to fully cure before using the shower. This ensures the repair sets properly and provides a long-lasting solution.
Avoid Harsh Chemicals
When cleaning your shower tray, avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the repaired surface. Use a mild, non-abrasive cleaner to preserve the finish and prevent wear.
Keep the Surface Dry
Try to keep the surface of your shower tray dry as much as possible, especially around the repaired area. Water left standing for extended periods can seep into the repair and compromise its integrity.
Use a Shower Mat or Rug
To protect your shower tray from further damage, consider using a non-slip shower mat. It can help prevent accidental drops and offer extra protection against impact.
Inspect Regularly for New Cracks
Check the repaired area periodically for signs of new cracks or wear. Early detection can help prevent further damage and ensure your tray remains in great condition.
Avoid Dropping Heavy Objects
Be cautious when using heavy objects in the shower, as dropping them could damage the surface of the tray or the repaired area. Always place items gently on the tray to prevent impact damage.
